He was 10 feet tall and had blond hair that was later described as yellowish-gray.“He had beautiful hair,” Peeler, a self-proclaimed mountain man, told WCNC NewsChannel 36, which shares an entertaining story on the encounter in the accompanying video.Last week, excerpts from Peeler’s 911 call to the police were released, a few days after another area resident had located a giant footprint that appears to be a perfect match for a 10-foot-tall hairy blond giant.Knobby closely resembles Sasquatch of Pacific Northwest legend. Reported sightings in western North Carolina date to the late 1970s but the latest reported sighting was the first in years. In previous reports, Knobby was said to be going after pet dogs kept outside.Peeler said Knobby was going after his dogs, too. “It looked like a giant ape with a man’s face,” he told the 911 dispatch officer. “But I was afraid to kill it. And it made a whistling sound. But I just wanted ya’all to know, I have not shot one or killed one.”Eventually, Peeler asked if he would get into trouble if he were to shoot Knobby.Dispatch officer: “I can’t answer that question.”Peeler: “If he comes close to me, I’m going to kill him.”This raises an another interesting question: If Knobby does exist and Peeler were to shoot and kill him, would he become a hero or villain? Surely, for Peeler, it’s a question worth pondering.http://www.grindtv.com/blog/18312/bigfoot+surfaces+in+rural+north+carolina+as+giant+ape+with+a+mans+face/
